This position is responsible for performing basic accounting functions, date entry, budgeting, filing, and preparing reports.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries in Quickbooks as assigned under the direction of Accountant.
Prepares accurate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable entries.
Provides general support to assist with monthly closing process.
Generates general accounting and financial reports, as assigned.
Adheres to strict confidentiality fo sensitve information.
Provides general accounting support and works with outside accountants on annual review and tax return preparation.
Documents financial transactions, maintains accounting controls, and substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Reconcils financial discrepanices by collecting and analysing account information.
Creates and distributes communications as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND
Experience:
Three years of related experience Must have knowledge of basic accounting concepts, standards, and principles Proficient computer skills Quickbooks experience required Attention to detail, good organization, and communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
